Studio Recording, Engineering & Production – Virtual Program

August 5 - August 15

Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to maintain the overall health and safety of our community IMA will not be holding residential sessions on campus this summer, instead we will be offering virtual programs in July and August.

The Studio Recording, Engineering & Production Program (for girls and young women ages 16-24) is a digital workshop for girls and young women 16-24 who are ready to record their own music or interested in exploring studio engineering as a career.  Students will learn recording and production basics, and immediately start working on their own and collaboratively to produce podcasts and music.  Collaborating effectively in a remote team will provide a valuable opportunity to learn skills and use software to work with others in the virtual universe.  Demonstration of prerequisite skills required.

If you don’t already have a recording interface for your computer we recommend the Focusrite Scarlett Studio

Special Thanks to Focusrite for providing IMA with special pricing for their Scarlett Solo Studio 3rd Gen.

Which we have purchased and can sell to registered students for $165 plus shipping.

The cost of the IMA Recording, Engineering & Production Program will be $650

2020 Instructors are….

Studio Production – June Millington
Engineering – Leslie Ann Jones
Recording, Engineering, Mixing – Leanne Ungar
