The Barn
Classes for the rock 'n roll camp, summer workshops and concerts take place in the big barn which also serves as a backdrop for outdoor concerts. While there are plans for several other buildings, forming a small campus, the barn will be IMA's centerpiece for some time. We are currently raising funds to convert it for year-round use as a performance space, bunk house & recording studio. In the drawings you'll notice two additions, the larger of the two is for the studio's control room and the smaller shed-like addition is for bathrooms, h/vac system and "green room". The estimated costs for the barn conversion are $350,000. IMA has received a bequeath of $165,000 from the Robert J. Rigler estate which will enable the commencement of renovations in the spring of 2004.
